How to Use the Lesson Book

Bookshelf

Using the mouse, move the cursor over the books on the shelf. Notice that text appears at the top of the bookshelf. It indicates the number and title of each lesson as you pass over the books. Click on any book to pull it off the shelf and see the objectives and highlights of the lesson.

You'll also see that there are now markers on some of the books on the shelf. These markers indicate your starting point in the Library from the results of your Placement Tests. Depending upon how the Library has been set up for your instruction, some books may be gray. These become available when you complete the Final Test for the preceeding lesson or a Placement Test.

The lighted books are lessons you've either completed or are working in. The darkened books are lessons you haven't worked in yet, and which may be too advanced.

Let's go directly into a lesson. If you are using CDs or a DVD on your computer for the video be sure to have the correct disc in the drive. Click on the link in your Assignment Board or click on the book on the bookshelf. Then click on STUDY THE LESSON.
